Cumberland Gap Artists Co-op July 2017

I am a member of Cumberland Gap Artists Co-op in Cumberland Gap Tn. and as well as having paintings and books in the gallery, I also work there part time and sell.

The Cumberland Gap Artists Co-op is full of all kinds of Appalachian art from local artist, including paintings, (canvas, wood, vases, Christmas decorations, and much more), photography of local scenes, people, and animals. We also have postcards, coins, handmade quilts, pillows, jewelry, metal art, and much more. Local authors, such as myself have books in the gallery, and newsletters. Each piece of art is handmade and heartfelt from Appalachian people who love to keep in touch with their heritage.

Our director Cora Pat Howard is one of the most astonishing artist I have ever met. She is the heart of the gallery and her work along with over 50 other artist is on display every day from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sundays are usually closed but many times you will find an artist working the shop so give us a call if you happen to be in the Gap on a Sunday or at an earlier or later time than is posted. One of the members would be happy to open and let you browse our gallery.

Please call for any further information or look us up on Facebook under Cumberland Gap Artists Co-op. We have other websites under CumberlandGapArtistsCo-op.com, including TripAdvisor. So please visit us and any support for our gallery will be appreciated and used toward the running of the gallery, including our art classes for people of all ages including children and upcoming festivals.

My new book... VISIONS II ~ by Robin Michelle Zachery

I have had a spiritual connection to the "unknown" or "Spirit World", ever since I was a little girl. I have "visits" and/or messages from loved ones and others in my sleep. I have most of my visions when asleep, a few when awake. Since I was little, and for a very long time, I thought that it was normal to have visions, premonitions, a sixth sense (if you will), and I thought that it happened to everyone. My Granny Leach, my Aunt Ann and my Uncle Will experienced much of the same as I did... of course a few other people in my family had them, but the three mentioned were more verbal about their experiences. My cousin Terrie, my mom and my children also have the gift but didn't talk about it much at all. My children would discuss their dreams or visions with me quite often when little.

I always thought that maybe it was an Indian connection, since we have Cherokee blood, but since I've learned that many nationalities experience this, such as the Poles and other descents of mine. After I married and had a child, I decided to write about my experiences. Of course at that time, I didn't have the internet and hadn't meant anyone else who was experiencing what I did on the level that I did. I wrote my book, saved it on my computer, instead of a floppy disk, and then my hard drive crashed! I was devastated but learned to back up my work. I came to understand later that my book wasn't ready, because I had a few major episodes to happen to me, (spiritually speaking that is). So I wrote again and added those experiences.

Finally, I wrote, edited with my daughter Tiff, designed my covers, and published my book Visions. I now have a Visions II. It contains both my first book and more of my experiences in it. It's a smaller book because I added no extra photos, and typed with a smaller font. I am happy with Visions II. The Cover is from a painting that I did of Jesus. It's an actual description of how I saw him in one of my visions, even though the actual event was a hundred times more magnificent than anything I could ever paint.

If you are interested in buying a copy of my book, please let me know here or through a private message on Facebook or email me visionflyer@yahoo.com . All sales are kept private when they are sent that way in case they are a gift for someone. I will also sign the copy for you. I promise that each detailed experience that I wrote about in my book is an actual dream/vision or paranormal experience that happened to me. ~Robin

Painted this September of 2013. My parents have the painting and I wanted to recreate it. Painted on a 16x20 stretched canvas with Acrylic paint. This frame is not included. However I do have a smaller gold frame it fits nicely in. I painted it for myself but will consider selling. Thanks for viewing.
